warranty and insurance

MANTI MANTI glasses are super durable and can withstand a lot. If something does break, we're here for you!
In the event of damage, send us an email with photos of the damage to werkstatt@mantimanti.de. We will assess the defect and support you with appropriate repair or replacement.

WARRANTY

The statutory warranty period of 24 months applies to our glasses. If a material defect or defect occurs during this period that is due to the type of manufacturing or was already present at the time of delivery, we will replace the defective part free of charge.
Handling errors such as incorrect cleaning or improper use are not covered. The optional MANTI CARE warranty extension is available for this.

MANTI CARE

For a one-off payment of €39 per year, you can add our MANTI CARE warranty extension to your glasses. This means that your glasses are easily insured against many types of damage to the glasses up to a coverage amount of €250. Depending on our damage assessment, parts of the glasses can be replaced multiple times as needed or the entire glasses can be replaced once. MANTI CARE is often worthwhile even if only part of the glasses is damaged.
In addition to the statutory warranty, handling errors such as incorrect cleaning or improper use are also covered.

MANTI Care FAQ

What is insured?
If your MANTI MANTI children's glasses break because they were handled incorrectly, the insurance will help you. The insurance will pay up to 250 euros for repairs or replacement.

What is not insured?
If you intentionally break the glasses, lose them or they are stolen, the insurance will not cover you. A change in your prescription and normal signs of wear and tear are also not covered.

How long is the insurance valid?
The insurance is valid for 12 months and costs a one-off fee of 39 euros. It does not renew automatically.

What should I do if something happens?
Please report the damage or loss within 10 days.

The insured sum has been used up/I have no insurance.
Then the following price list applies.

General Insurance Conditions MANTI Care

1. General
1.1. The MANTI Care Insurance (hereinafter "Insurance") offers protection for MANTI MANTI children's glasses and the lenses installed therein (hereinafter "Insured Objects") against handling errors.
1.2. The insurance partner is MANTI MANTI GmbH (hereinafter “Insurer”).

2. Scope of insurance
2.1. Damage to MANTI children’s glasses and lenses caused by unforeseen handling errors is insured.
2.2. The handling errors insured include in particular, but not exclusively:

  • Accidental damage to the lenses (e.g. scratches caused by improper cleaning).
  • Accidental breaking or bending of the glasses frame due to incorrect handling.
  • Damage caused by accidental dropping or force while wearing the glasses.
2.3. The following are excluded from the insurance:
  • Normal signs of wear, especially scratches and wear on the lenses due to daily use.
  • Change in the eyesight or visual acuity of the insured person.
  • Loss or theft of the insured object.
 

3. Sum insured and benefit
3.1 The maximum sum insured is €250 for the repair or replacement of the insured object.
3.2. If the insured object can no longer be repaired, the insurer will provide compensation up to the maximum value of the insured amount of €250.
3.3. The costs will only be covered up to the amount of the agreed sum insured. In the case of repairs or replacement parts that exceed the amount of €250, the policyholder will bear the difference.

4. Insurance period and extension
4.1 The insurance has a term of 12 months, starting from the date of conclusion of the insurance.
4.2. The insurance ends automatically after 12 months and is not automatically renewed.
4.3. The policyholder has the option of renewing the insurance for a further 12 months by paying the corresponding insurance premium for the following year. A new insurance policy can be taken out at any time before the expiry of the 12 months.

5. Premium and payment
5.1 The annual insurance premium is €39.
5.2. The premium is due annually in advance and can be paid by bank transfer or other payment methods offered by the insurer.
5.3 In the event of late payment, the insurer may temporarily suspend insurance cover until the outstanding payment has been made.

6. Damage report and processing
6.1 The policyholder is obliged to report any damage to the insurer immediately after it occurs, but no later than within 14 days of becoming aware of the damage.
6.2. Damage must be reported to the insurer by telephone or email. The insurer will then explain the next steps, which usually include sending the damaged glasses for inspection and repair.
6.3. The claim will be settled after an examination by the insurer and may include the replacement of lenses, the replacement of the frame or the repair of the damaged part. If repair is not possible, a replacement will be made within the scope of the insured sum.

7. Termination
7.1 The policyholder may terminate the insurance at any time before the end of the 12 months with 30 days’ notice.
7.2. Termination must be made in writing and will become effective upon receipt of the termination by the insurer.
7.3 The insurer’s right to terminate the contract for good cause remains unaffected.

8. General provisions
8.1 The policyholder undertakes to care for and use the glasses in accordance with the instructions for use provided.
8.2. The insurer reserves the right to change the insurance conditions if necessary. Changes will be communicated to the policyholder in writing at least 30 days before they come into effect.

9. Disclaimer
9.1 The insurer assumes no liability for damages resulting from the loss or theft of the glasses.
9.2 There is no right to replacement if the glasses can no longer be repaired and the insured amount of €250 is exceeded.
9.3. No benefit will be paid if the damage was caused by intentional acts or gross negligence on the part of the policyholder.

10. Final provisions
10.1. German law applies.
10.2. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the insurer, to the extent permitted by law.
