cleaning
Glasses and especially lenses should be cleaned regularly to remove dirt. Coarse dirt such as sand and dust should first be rinsed off under cold running water. Direct manual cleaning could cause damage such as scratches and detachment of surface seals. Cleaning agents such as a mild glass cleaner or a gentle, non-greasy hand soap can then be used if necessary. The cleaning agent is applied with the finger, rubbed in and then rinsed off under cold running water.
The glasses can then be dried with a clean, soft cloth. Cloths for cleaning glasses should be washed regularly at a low temperature and without adding fabric softener. Packaged, damp glasses cleaning cloths and tissues such as paper handkerchiefs or kitchen towels are not suitable for gentle cleaning of glasses. Large temperature differences should be avoided at all costs. Harsh cleaning agents with solvents and moisturizing soaps should also not be used to clean glasses. Irreparable damage can be done to both the lenses and the frame. If dirt has accumulated on the surface of the frame, it can be removed using a soft brush and a mild cleaning agent.
Care
Neither the frames nor the lenses require any special care or maintenance. If the nose pads and temple ends are worn out or lost, Manti Manti GmbH will deliver replacements as quickly as possible.
disinfection
Disinfection of the spectacle frame is neither necessary nor intended. Disinfectants and other methods of disinfection or sterilization can irreparably damage the surface of the spectacle frame.
replacing the nose pads
The silicone nose pads of the glasses can be replaced by lifting the nose pad slightly and pulling it out of the recess.
The nose pad to be inserted is placed into the recess on one side, perpendicular to the correct direction, and then twisted and pushed into the correct position. Three different thicknesses are available and are selected and replaced if necessary according to the individual shape of the nose.
replacing the temple ends
If the temple ends are worn or discolored, we recommend replacing them. To do this, pull off the attached temple ends. To do this, the temple end may need to be bent straight first.
The new temple ends are then carefully pushed back onto the needle of the temple end until the needle is completely covered by the temple end. The MANTI MANTI 'M' logo faces outwards. The anatomical adjustment of the temple ends to the ears of the person wearing the glasses may then have to be carried out again. Repair of the front, temple or hinge of the spectacle frame
If a replacement or repair of the front, temple or hinge is necessary, this work should always be carried out by MANTI MANTI or a MANTI MANTI partner optician, otherwise all warranty and guarantee claims will be void.
To replace these components, it is necessary to loosen the screw connection on the front and/or temples and pull the hinge out of the corresponding recess. When re-inserting, make sure that the threads for screwing the hinge into the temples and front of the glasses are pointing downwards.
If the prescription glasses are ordered without optical effect, they will be delivered with demo lenses, i.e. with a plastic lens without optical effect. The installation of lenses should always be carried out by a qualified optician with practical experience with the appropriate materials. In addition to the correct selection of the lens, the correct glazing technique is also crucial.
selection of the lens
Glasses from the 3D-printed collection should only be fitted with organic lenses or plastic lenses. Organic lenses with an index of 1.6 or 1.67 are recommended. Indices of 1.5 and 1.74 are also possible. Other options include lenses made of polycarbonate or polyurethane.
A pair of glasses is designed to correct poor eyesight and is worn on the nose. Poor eyesight cannot usually be treated with these glasses, but can be corrected immediately. The prerequisite for this is the correct transfer of the data determined by the ophthalmologist for the production of the corrective lenses.
All models in the MANTI MANTI 3D collection are frames for the installation of lenses to correct visual impairments or other medical indications. All models can also be fitted with filter lenses if required.
Spectacle frames without lenses and spectacle frames with demo lenses without effect can be used without hesitation by persons for whom there is no ophthalmic indication to wear visual aids.
The glasses of the MANTI MANTI 3D collection are designed for children between 2 and 12 years.
The visual impairment and the associated correction values of the lenses can be subject to fluctuations and changes.
If you notice that your vision is no longer optimal despite wearing corrective glasses, or if you experience side effects such as a lack of concentration or headaches, you should have your vision checked again by an ophthalmologist and, if necessary, purchase new corrective glasses. The glasses frame can also be re-glazed by MANTI MANTI GmbH or a qualified partner optician.
If you have any questions or comments about the product or if you have any difficulties using it, our MANTI MANTI customer service will be happy to help you.
